About Kumbhalgarh Fort trip

Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site located 84 km north of Udaipur, is renowned for having the world’s second-longest wall, spanning 36 kilometers. Built in the 15th century by Rana
Kumbha, the fort is the birthplace of Rajput King Maharana Pratap and a symbol of Mewar’s resilience.

Its walls, capable of accommodating eight horses abreast, have withstood numerous attacks, including one by the Mughal Empire. The fort houses stunning palaces, temples, and monuments, such as Neelkanth Mahadev Temple and Badal Mahal.

Its strategic design, featuring hidden passageways and underground reservoirs, makes it an architectural marvel. Visitors can explore the fort, enjoy scenic views, and partake in activities like safaris in the nearby Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary. The fort is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with events like the Mewar Festival and the light-and-sound show enriching the experience.
